Hi Sandeep,
Good to see u here......
yeah, can never get tired of wada pav. I sorely miss it here. At some Indian joints, they sell something truly ghastly that does not even come close to dis super dish.

Strange abt the thursday menu. We also had that dish on thursdays or weekends. yeah, Sinhagad is famous for it's pithla menu.

Dimwit,
Oh yeah....the bread upma. I like dat - it  was kinda my staple food during college days staying wid roomies. But the bread here is too soft n fresh.....stale bread makes dis dish yummier.

Hmm....chooree. New name. yup, roti laddoo was the kiddie lunch.....surprise lunch so to say.....at school when i opened the lunchbox, wud be delighted to see roti laddoos.

hi kaps,
quite a mouth-watering menu this. my personal favs are vada pav (i survived on that during my days in mumbai) and pithla-bhakri (brings back memories of childhood, thursday dinner was invariably pithla-bhakri at my place, if i remember correctly). these days one needs to go all the way up sinhagad to enjoy a good hearty meal of pithla-bhakri.

Live on bread n tea? Looks like u, BB  r lucky to stay at humid places. Gives one an excuse to not stray into the kitchen!

Roba,
Thanks for a loooooong comment. I think u may enjoy gola bhaat. It is a Eastern maharashtra dish.
Lucky u - u don't like sweets?? n u've omitted sugar n flour from ur list? Wow....
Ya, sol kadhi is good. I have tasted it....I like the kokum juice too.

Gotta try ur whole wheat dosa. Have heard of a green moong dosa but not whole wheat dosa b4. Sounds interesting. Ahah.....I like ragi.

Hey, good luck for ur potluck supper n hope the idlis turn out gr8. Dunno if ppl wud like something unusual though. I personally prefer moong to the urad dal, hence the substitution.

Looks like ur a very health-conscious person. Eating assorted colours for dinner.
Am thinking of making almond biscottis now....
