Kalyanee

Here I am with my fav reciepe

Methi chawala

O ne cup of methi leaves chopped
2 green chili chopped
1/2 cup green peas.
2 cups of cooked rice
1 tblsp of oil
1/2 tsp of jeera
salt to taste

Heat oil. Add jeera, and green chili. let it cook for 1 min. then add peas and methi leaves. let them cook for 4 - 5 mins . In winters when the vegetables are fresh it requires less time . add cooked rice and salt cover for 2 mins and it is done.

Try it I love this ..and tell me.

hey Kalyanee
yeah the places for vada pav that i mentioned are very much in Mumbai. "Khaara Maasa" means dried fish. i also love pizzas but they pale in comparison to the ubiquitous vada pav. the other version of the coconut+jaggery is the filling used in Modaks. it never lets me down! and dont even get me started on Puran Poli!!:D
take care
ciao

Hey Taureandude23,
Thanks for the lengthy comment! :))
yah, roti laddoo was a hot fav in school. N u r right abt wada pav....in fact it beats Pizza! well.... I love Margherita pizza. Those joints u mentioned - r those in Mumbai? I know of a Shree Krishna place in Pune.

Oh yeah.....shravan time. Simply lovely memories associated wid dat....rains, flowers in bloom....festivals.  Yeah, i still make pithla. Wat is khara maasa?
Yup, try the jaggery shira.
The coconut + jaggery mix sounds delicious. Shud try it. I have eaten a combo of coconut chunks, sugar, betelnut n cashews. Dat was delicious....but I don't get those ingredients here. :(
