Summer
and autumn have passed by in fun, excitement and occasional sessions of
introspection. Earlier, it would be precious hours spent in thinking about
activities to do before one kicks the bucket. Time is valuable and to act, of
crucial importance. Long walks, evening drives (even across the state border,
if one feels like it), solving thousand-piece jigsaw puzzles with family around
(or make-believe that there are dear ones near), dream of owning a farm or
starting a youth camp, sharing the beauty all around.

Moving and rearranging
the furniture and items throughout the house every week driving others to their
wits end, attending book sales and music concerts, visiting orchards and places, those daily yoga sessions.
Cooking projects, a smorgasbord of herbs, dishes, scallions, sun-dried tomatoes and the
pleasing colours of turmeric, paprika, red, yellow, green, orange bell peppers.
Almost cacophonic but serene
enough to even hear a pin drop! High on life, feeling alive finding the missing
pieces to complete this grand puzzle until death. Cannot deny the presence of
those genes that attribute such idiosyncrasies, can feel that carmine blood
pumping. Like a tightly-coiled spring loaded with energy.
An excess of everything. Young, baby trees laden with fruit.
A grinning cheshire cat, a glowing pumpkin, babies smiling at it all! Their turn would come too!
Trying to find peace at the end of it all. Realizing that to gain
something, one would have to relinquish some cherished memories and change oneself. Change is in nature too, but is an alarming change necessary?

Note :Never mind if this is confusing. Reading a book (translation, actually) written by someone close, started off these thoughts (or rant).
Hi Sandeep,
Good to see you back! Change is welcome, for me. I wrote this blog to depict all the changes that have/had happened......
Thanks for your comment.

hi kalyanee,
thanks for this thoughtful blog. i missed it earlier. i believe change, although ineluctable, is not welcomed by everyone. many of us feel more comfortable in the predictability of life, in routine, in regimen. the saying, 'the only thing constant in life is change' in my opinion is one of the most arrogant and insensitive utterances.
loved the pictures. you sure have an eye for beauty. as for the shlokas at the bottom, i am sure they mean something profound and it's my loss that i couldn't get them.
regards,
sandeep

Maria_m,
Yeah, some restlessness in dis writeup. Dat's a gr8 observation there.....abt seasons change. Yeah the smoother transitions like spring->summer r not so restless.
I can never make up my mind if rainy season (monsoons) is better than autumn. I think it is.
I love jigsaws....wish I cud paint but since i cannot, dis is an easier hobby.
Maybe you should share fotos of the bougainvillea....
